How can I get the x and y coordinates in cm?

I am actually using pixy to detect an object, I would like to get the pixy coordinates x and y in cm not in pixels, can anyone help me to figure this out?

You can determine the “pixels per inch” but it decreases the farther away an object is away from the lens. This topic has some discussion on the topic:
