Question about distance measurement

Nice to meet you, I’m using pixy cam for gradation products at university.

Can i pixy cam measure the distance from the object currently being detected?

If possible, if have any documents or example codes to refer to, I would appreciate it would be appreciated.

It’s possible to determine the “pixels per inch”, but bear in mind that this value changes based on the distance from the camera. If the object is far, the “PPI” is small. If the object is close, the PPI is large. If your object is at a given (known, consistent) distance from the camera, the PPI will stay constant (more or less) and you can measure it by moving an object a known distance (1 foot, for example) parallel to the camera’s image plane, such that the distance from the camera doesn’t…
