I’ve assembled the pan-tilt kit myself using micro servos from a local hubby store. It went together fine and looks like the kit that you would buy. I’ve connected the servos directly to the pixy, Ran the non-beta version of the software, action, set sig 1, selected and bright object and then Action, Run pan/tilt demo but it consistantly avoids the object when it comes in view. I’ve swapped the two servo connectors on the back but still nothing. Is there a setting to reverse the servos? I’m at a loss.

You could do that from within the code, but it sounds like something is backwards. If you can’t find the problem in your servos then maybe try modifying the Arduino pan/tilt program and see if you can find the problem from there. That would be much easier than debugging the pan/tilt program that runs on Pixy.

Got it working 100% last night. I had to open each micro servo and swap the red & black wires on the motor and then the two outside wires on the potentiometer. I couldn’t find an easy way to swap the servo direction with the Pixy Software so I had to modify the hardware.https://vine.co/u/1143593648043302912

Good fix Mike…I had the same problem and I swapped the servo wires as well. Works perfectly now. I also fly RC models and I didn’t realize that different servos could have different rotation directions.
