Can pixy detect black object?

I am trying to detect black object using Pixy. However, Pixy failed to detect it. Any idea/hint or setting to enable pixy detecting black object?

Hello David,
Pixy is going to have trouble with black objects because they don’t have a good or unique color signature. There is some more information here:

I want it use luminance-based blob detection.Do you have some ieads about it?

Hello David,
You might check with the ir-lock folks. (irlock.com)

They have custom firmware that uses luminance only.
