Can Pixy determine a Runner's velocity on a treadmill?

Is it possible to use Pixy to capture a person’s running/walking speed while they move on a treadmill?

Thank You

Hi Mark,

But don’t you already know their speed based on how fast the treadmill belt is moving? =)

Yes, I would say this is possible. You’ll probably need the person to wear some color markers to help Pixy see the right features of their movement. So, for example, maybe the person would wear colored armbands and ankle bracelets (all different colors), then you could train Pixy on each one. When Pixy receives the block data you’ll know which blocks belong to which parts of the person’s body based on the color signature.

Hope this helps!

Scott

Thanks for the reply Scott. This is for a school project and we aren’t allowed to use the treadmill belt to determine the persons speed  lame!
I had a similar idea as you just mentioned but have no idea how to get Pixy to translate the moving objects(feet/arms) into usable data. Any ideas?
