CMUcam5 Pixy and EasyVR Arduino Shield 2.0 problem

Good Morning,

CMUcam5 Pixy does not work connected to Arduino Uno v.3 + Arduino Shield EasyVR 2.0.

The configuration is the following:

  • An Arduino v.3 + Arduino Shield EasyVR 2.0 connected to pc via usb cable,
  • CMUcam5 Pixy connected to the Arduino with the supplied cable, and connected to pc via usb cable,
  • PANTILT kit Pixy,
  • External power supply for Arduino with 5V DC power supply,
  • Liquid crystal display connected to the Arduino via I2C.

In the absence of EasyVR Arduino Shield 2.0, Pixy works well.

It seems to me that there is a compatibility issue or resource conflict between Pixy and EasyVr 2 Shield, you have ideas on this?
thanks

Hi Francesco,

I suspect Pixy and your EasyVR shield use the same IO pins on the Arduino and therefore conflict when communicating. You should find out which pins are used for Pixy’s communication and your shield’s communication. Let me know what you find. Good luck!
