Detect if a ball is in the right spot

Hi,

I’d like to use a pixycam to detect if a brightly colored ball is in the bottom half or top half of the frame. Would you know if a pixycam is appropriate for this?

I’d like to develop a proof of concept, but I’d need to first know if there was a way to identify quadrants or halves of the frame? Using an Arduino, if the ball is on the bottom, I’d want a red LED light to turn on, otherwise the light stays green.

Thank you!

Hello,
The detected objects (balls) are returned in camera coordinates. See this page:

You can determine which part of the frame the objects are located by their coordinates.

Thank you but your link does not work :frowning:
I’d love to take a look at the page you recommended if you can re-send me the link!

Thanks again!

Whoops, sorry about that – here’s the link:
