I am working on my Senior Project for college. My group and I are working on a soccer training project and we were wondering if the CMUcam would be able to detect two different colors at once like one color on a shoe and another on the ball. And as soon as the player kicks the ball it would focus on only the soccer ball.

Yes, this is possible. Currently Pixy can be trained to detect up to 7 different color signatures, so you shouldn’t have a problem doing what you’ve proposed, as long as they aren’t the same color. To detect if the ball has been kicked, you could wait for when two blocks of different colors get very close to each other, and then further away, which may indicate a kick.
