Do you think I could get it to recognize vehicles (perhaps based on headlights, always on in Canada)

I was hoping I could find some device that could help me decide if a vehicle was at the gate, so I could have the controller open it. I am not looking to determine type, size or anything else, just a car, truck, etc.
Any ideas?

Hey Ben,

Pixy is good at recognizing bright colors. Out of the box, it is not equipped to detect lights, shapes or patterns. For your application, you would be better off with a webcam and a computer vision software package like OpenCV.
