Max length Ribbon Cable and

  1. What is the maximum length of the ribbon cable to connect “Pixy Cmucam 5” and “Arduino Uno V3”? I fixed “Pixy” on the end of an arm of my roverbot. I figured that a ribbon cable 80 cm should be enough to fulfill all the arm movements. Currently I am working connection I2C.

  2. It is possible to run more servo motors (5 degrees of freedom in total) using libraries pixy Arduino? I want to make sure that the robotic arm also uses other servo motors to position the end of the arm in the vicinity of an object.

Looking forward to your ideas about I send you my best regards.

Hello Francesco,
Nice pictures!

Regarding the cable length, I don’t know what the maximum length is. I’m guessing that 80cm should be fine. If you want a longer cable or if you see errors, you can always reduce the clock rate for SPI or I2C, but I doubt you’ll need to.

With an Arduino, you can certainly control lots of servos. There is lots of information on the web. For example:

Hope this helps!
