Hi,
I am using pixy to track a ball on plate, the ball is about 40cm away from the camera, the balls rolls on the plate will pixy read the ball position in pixels, I convert that value to cm. The problem is that I noticed that when the ball is in stop position (it doesn’t move at all), I am getting the x and y values changing like 25.02 25.20 24.8 26.82 24.66… which is in cm.
I can’t understand why this is happening, and how can I get the exact not changing value in cm when the ball doesn’t move…

Pixy’s position estimates can vary even though the object isn’t moving mostly due to noise. You can reduce the noise by improving the signature or by reducing the framerate. This page describes how:
