Doing something wrong. My servos are set via the instructions on assembling the pan/tilt mechanism. When I run the demo both of the servos max out in one direction and stay there. Any suggestions?

It sounds like a power issue (to me). Please check out this troublshooting guide:

I noticed in the manual that the symptom pixy was having was possibly
due to a power issue but never would have guessed it was the USB cable,
which it was.
