I am trying to detect black object using Pixy. However, Pixy failed to detect it. Any idea/hint or setting to enable pixy detecting black object?
Hi,
Unfortunately Pixy does not do well detecting objects with low/no hue, such as black, white, and grey. You could try modifying the color detection firmware to work better with black, or you may have to get a bit more creative. “Here”:http://cmucam.org/boards/9/topics/4690 was one idea to cover the lens with a colored see-through film to make everything colored, and then you could train on the particular shade of that color.
Hope this helps.

Erm. Great idea. I have another question. Is it possible to control two pixy using same SPI line by pulling low the Chip Select pin on pixy?
Chip select on Pixy is a bit weird since there is no chip select line on the Arduino cable, so we had to pull it down internally in the firmware. So as of right now that wouldn’t work.
