Pixy firmware not responding

Hello,

I’ve downloaded the latest pixymon(2.0.6) and successfully flashed the latest firmware (2.0.8). When the pixy restarts or is connected, it says the following:

Pixy detected.

runprogArg 8 1
response: 0 (0x0)

I can no longer view raw video or use really any of the other pixy/pixymon functionality. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello Sebastian,
Make sure that PixyMon hasn’t popped up any dialogs. Sometimes a dialog will pop up and the main window will become unresponsive (because the dialog is waiting for input.)

Hi Edward,

Thanks for the reply. I have checked and there are no dialogs. It doesn’t seem to be an issue with pixymon, the pixy just doesn’t respond correctly to pixymon after it is detected, which I believe would point to a firmware issue.

Hello Sebastian,
Do you get any error messages? “Pixy has stopped working” or “No Pixy devices have been detected” is usually what you see. That’s where I’m confused.

Yeah, It says the following every time I plug the pixy in:

Hello Sebastian,
What’s strange is that you aren’t getting an error message. No error means that Pixy is happy and communicating with your PC.

You aren’t seeing any video at all? Forgive me for asking, but have you checked to see if the lens cap is on?

Also, what happens when you press the “Raw video” button on the toolbar of PixyMon?

Yeah, the lens cap is off :slight_smile:

On the initial pc I was doing this on, which has windows 7, I am seeing no video. When I hit the raw or cooked button, it has no video and just prints out the same message as before:

runprogArg 8 1
response: 0 (0x0)

I tried connecting on my laptop, which is windows 8, and also running pixymon 2.0.6, it just says no pixy detected.
