Hey, just got two Pixys and had a question. It looks like the sensor is 1280x800 with a 75 degree view. I also saw that objects down to 4x1 pixels will be detected. If I have a target about 8" in diameter does that mean that my maximum range would be about 500ft ?
Scratch work:
8" = 4px so total field of view would be 1280/4*8" = 213ft that gives us tan(37.5)=(213/2)/range which gives us range = 505 feet
I realize that might not work in practice, just making sure my theory is correct.
