Hi,
I am building a robot that can safely walk across an intersection, but it needs to be able to distinguish between the red and green traffic signals. I have gone to a 10mm focal length lens because the original was too short to see the lights at the intersection. My problem is when I attempt to save a color signature for the green or red traffic signal (LED type). Under the raw video setting, the image is normal. When I attempt to set the color signature for the green light, in the “cooked” image that is saved in Pixymon for selecting the color, the green light appears as a red light. The red light also appears as a red light, so there is no differentiation between the two. The lens I am using has an IR filter. Is there any way to get Pixy to recognize a traffic signal?
Thanks,
Bill
The cooked image shows the image with the colors used to define the signature number (1=red, 2=orange, 3=yellow, etc.)
Define both the red and green led lights. Then close pixymon. Reopen pixymon so you get the black screen with the white outlined rectangles. You should see the signature numbers corresponding to each color (red & green.)
