Hello Gianni,
Pixy will always send data out it’s serial port(s) and respond to queries, so “available” and “busy” are difficult to determine. What are you trying to do exactly?
Edward
Hello Edward,
i understand, (that’s why we beat even the machines, when we will see them also: I run so alive, we will be finished ) seriously, i was looking for a way to put a conditon to know if at the begin when pixys start if the connection to arduino are avaiable or not. because some times when i start arduino, 1 one of three pixy(every the same) seems to hang, because the light remains on at maximum intensity but if I reset arduino will restart normally, then with the LED off if there is no object to be detected! or something I’m wrong in the connection of the three bedrooms?
Hello Gianni,
Can you describe how you are powering your 3 Pixys? Your description of one of the Pixy’s hanging upon power-up leads me to suspect a power issue. (this is never supposed to happen.)
Edward
hello Edward,
i power the cams by multi crimp cable and i use the i2c protocol, moreover when the 3 pixy send the blocks, if the total blocks are more than 8 for example first cam capture 5 blocks, second 6 blocks, the serial print out max 8 blocks, like that:
Detected 5:
block 0: sig: 1 x: 141 y: 190 width: 27 height: 18 angle 0
block 1: sig: 1 x: 59 y: 179 width: 18 height: 8 angle 0
block 2: sig: 1 x: 53 y: 194 width: 19 height: 8 angle 0
block 2: sig: 1 x: 96 y: 148 width: 16 height: 5 angle 0
block 2: sig: 1 x: 205 y: 144 width: 25 height: 8 angle 0
Detected 2:
block 0: sig: 1 x: 181 y: 190 width: 27 height: 18 angle 0
block 1: sig: 1 x: 63 y: 186 width: 36 height: 8 angle 0
but in pixymon the blocks are 5 for the first and this ok, but for the second pixy the blocks are 6 but it print 2/3 no more!
it could cause by bad connection? the cable i made is long more or less 1 meter 3ft!
