I just purchased my pixy2 cam earlier this week and received it today. I downloaded all of the software and uploaded the firmware to get the message “unable to open USB device” when the pixy2 is plugged in. Whenever I plug the camera in the light flashes for 1 second and pixymon says the pixy is detected. After that I receive the “unable to open USB device error” and the camera begins to get really hot quickly. What can I do to make this camera work?

Sorry for the problems. When you say the the LED flashes, can you describe?
Have you tried another computer (for testing purposes)? Sometimes drivers installed on a particular computer can interfere with libusb.

Hi,
The main LED would flash a white light when it is first plugged in and the program is ran, after that the LED would become dim and pixymon says it is unable to open USB device. I have tried on two different computers with the same results.
