PixyCam2 and FIRST FTC

Hi Folks,
Checking the forum here, at FIRST, and few other places, I see some past requests for some support for integration with the Rev Robotics Control/Expansion Hubs via the FIRST FTC I2C SDK. However, it wasn’t clear what the status of those requests were. Can anyone clarify/summarize? I do see the strong support for integration in FIRST FRC now via the RoboRio.

I am also interested, it appears Pixy and other vision sensors will be legal this year, and perhaps necessary to compete at a high level. However trying to create a I2C driver for 14 year olds is pretty daunting. FRC always gets everything handed to them
