pixy2 is consuming ~300mA current without white LED and mcu is also getting very hot.
So is this normal current consumption for pixy2 because I am using it for the first time? And does the mcu temperature rise with the use? If temperature rises than how much?

Normal power consumption is less than 200mA, so 300mA does sound high. Do you have anything else hooked up to your Pixy? Servos? Anything on the I/O connector?

Nothing else is attached with it. I just used it for the first time without connecting anything else.
How did you measure the current?
I have modified a micro USB cable So I can measure the voltage and current using the DMM.
