I am trying to run pixy in line tracking mode, but my pixy mon crashes as soon as I try toggling the lamp on.

Can you try using a different USB port? The blue USB ports are USB 3.0 and sometimes can cause issues. Try plugging Pixy into a black USB port.

Thanks for including the crash report. It looks like it’s crashing in the Qt code. If I had to guess, I’d guess that there is some kind of conflict with the Qt DLLs on your machine.
Do you have another computer you can install PixyMon onto? This will help determine if this is a Pixy hardware issue. It’s doubtful it’s a Pixy hardware issue, but I can’t be sure.

We haven’t seen this and we’ve been unable to reproduce, so we only have some guesses as to what might be happening. If the behavior is the same on a different machine, it would tend to point to something wrong with the Pixy itself, although we’re a bit stumped, because we haven’t seen a hardware issue that looks like this either.
If you ordered from a distributor, I would contact them and ask them about replacement. Our apologies for the trouble.
