Traffic lights

Hi everyone! After a while playing with Pixy I want check if Pixy is capable to recognize traffic lights. Has anyone already dont anything like this? Were problems in the recognition of the lights during the day? For the profis: Would I need another lens with different focal length? (Since the traffic lights are relatively far) Would I need an IR filter?

Hello Robert,

This seems like it should work. We’ve done this (detected colored lights including lasers) by reducing the camera brightness setting in the configuration. You need to do this because lights tend to be overexposed.
