I got 3 pixycams 2.1.
1st pixy cam: removed lens and put original back on. I get “unable to connect to device” on Pixymon
2nd pixy cam: removed lens and put on a m12 wide angle lens. I get “unable to connect to device” on Pixymon
3rd pixy cam: Works fine because I didn’t remove the original lens.

Removing the lens on Pixy 2.1 should not result in any kind of connection issues. It’s an odd result you describe. We will be in contact by email.

Ps. I didn’t change the lenses … Just trying to use it normally. I also followed all the solutions proposed in your website to overcome “unable to connect to device”, but it still doesn’t work.
Sorry for the multiple messages.
I fixed this error by unconnecting the camera to the board, and reconnecting it.
