Hello, I am working on a project using the pixy. I’m having a lot of problems with how big the pixy’s circuit board is. I’m trying to use it in a motion tracking eye that I want to be about 60 mm in diameter. (If I scale the eye up I’m going to have to scale up the entire Bot, and that’ll get expensive fast) My question is, could I use a smaller camera like this one;
and wire it up to the pixy somehow to serve as its camera. Or, could I effectively make my own pixy using the open source software with this camera, and how would I go about doing that? Could I just use an arduino, or raspberry pie to simulate the Pixy?
Hello Raxius,
I’m sorry, I don’t see an easy solution for you. Your suggestions are interesting, but they won’t work because of constraints of firmware and hardware.
One possibility is to take the existing Pixy design and somehow make it smaller by removing various components you don’t need for your application, but this is a big effort.
