In case anyone was wondering if the Pixy will work outdoors for robot navigation, for example in a Robomagellan application where the robot must find orange traffic cones, the answer is Yes! I downloaded the latest firmware to fix the overexposure issue and I set the brightness to 75%. I trained the Pixy to recognize the orange cone in different lighting conditions (from direct sunlight to shade) by storing five different templates.
